Robert Erickson Funeral Director

Bob graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mortuary Science in 1982. He served his apprenticeship with Dunns/Westover Funeral Homes in Des Moines returning to Mason City in 1984 to join his father. Bob purchased the business in 1990. Bob and wife, Toni, (DiGregorio) have one son, Ryan, and are members of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Brian Cataldo Funeral Director/Managing Partner

Brian attended St. Olaf College and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mortuary Science in 1991.  While attending the U of M he worked at Washburn McReavy Funeral Home in Minneapolis.  Brian served his apprenticeship at Dunn's/Westover Funeral Homes in Des Moines before returning to Garner in 1994 to assist his father in the family business.  Brian and wife, Bonnie (Rayhons) have three sons, Samuel, Ray and Reed.  He is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and attending community and church events.

Richard Erickson Retired

Dick, a native of Roland, Iowa, graduated from St. Louis College of Mortuary Science and served his apprenticeship with Hamilton's Funeral Home, Des Moines. In 1959, he purchased the Major Funeral Home from Harvey B. Major. Dick and wife Marion (Charlson) have three grown children, six grandchildren and are members of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Scott R. Graham Funeral Director and Monument Sales

Scott has been a licensed funeral director since 1997. Working with Bob Erickson and staff at Major Erickson Funeral Home marks Scott’s return to Mason City.  Scott is a Past President of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association (IFDA), having served as President in 2011-2012. Prior to that Scott was a District Governor of the North Central Iowa area as well as Secretary/ Treasurer and President-Elect for IFDA. Residing near Mason City, Scott is a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science and the proud father of one son, Kannon.

Tyler Schaefer Funeral Director/Preneed Specialist

Tyler is a 2016 graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, Chicago, Illinois.  Prior to attending Worsham, Tyler studied business administration at Northwestern College, Orange City, Iowa. Tyler is a native of Spencer, Iowa.

Shelby Meyer Licensed Funeral Director

Shelby graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 2018.  Prior to obtaining her mortuary science degree, she graduated from Wartburg College in 2017 with a degree in biology.  She is a native of Edgewood, Iowa.

Robert "Bob" Kenny Preneed Specialist

Bob grew up in Osage where he graduated from high school in 1978.  He owned and operated Kenny Brothers Body Shop in Osage for a few years before continuing his education at Buena Vista College in Storm Lake.  He graduated from Buena Vista with a Bachelor's Degree in Education.  Bob taught middle school and high school social studies for most of his teaching career.  His passion was coaching wrestling.  He was named "Wrestling Coach of the Year" in 2000.  Bob belongs to four different Hall of Fame wrestling coach organizations. He served as Activities Director at Mason City High School from 2007 to 2008.  Bob is married to his wife, Sue, of 33 years and they reside in Mason City.  They are the proud parents of Adam and Danielle.  Adam and his wife, Dani, live in North Carolina.  Danielle lives in Mason City.
