Todd R. McMurray

Todd R. McMurray, 60, of Mason City, passed away Monday, September 7, 2026, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family of Todd McMurray.

Todd Raymond McMurray was born on January 29, 1966, in Mason City, to parents Terry and Lou McMurray. Todd graduated from Mason City High School in 1985. Todd worked at Wood Harbor for 25 years until his retirement.

On August 12, 2001, he was united in marriage to Kim Rhodes in Mason City. The couple were blessed with 25 wonderful years married, 35 years total.

In his free time, Todd enjoyed fishing, camping, grilling, and old cars. He loved spending time with Kim watching cooking shows, and watching ghost shows with his daughters, and he was an avid football fan, especially the Vikings and the Hawkeyes. Though he will be deeply missed, his lessons, values, and love will remain with family and friends forever.

Todd is survived by his wife, Kim McMurray, his daughters, Amanda (Taylor) Fields, Halie (Weston) Jensen, Emma McMurray, and Shelby Angell; grandchildren, Kamryn and Kolyn Nelson, Joshua Brantner, Madison McMurray, Ceagen and Cody Carpenter, Brooklynn Ruehlow, Jordan Keller, and Peyton Nelson; bonus grandkids, Zayden and Kinsley Fields; son in law, Kevin Nelson; sister-law, LouAnn Rhodes, and several nieces; and his grandcats and dog, Stuart (Stewie).

Todd was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Troy McMurray, daughter, Danielle Nelson, parents-in-law, Donna and Eddie Rhodes; and brothers-in-law, Al, Jim, and Randy Rhodes.
