Shirley J. Berding

Shirley Jean Berding, 79, of Mason City, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. Per Shirley’s request, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family of Shirley Berding.

Shirley Jean Berding was born on November 7, 1944, in Mason City, to parents of John and Alberta Berding. Shirley attended country school in Grafton. Shirley worked many years in restaurants around the Mason City area until her retirement.

Shirley is survived by her brothers, LeRoy (Carolyn), Benny, Johnny (Marge), and Darrell “Butch”; sisters, Bonnie (Arvid) Holey, LaVonne Blackmer, Rainy (Craig) Brackey, and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Larry, Roger, Dale, and Herman “Bud”, and sisters, Darlene Adams and Beverly Calicchia.
