Robert (Bob) Dale Schultz, 91, of Mason City, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023.
Bob was born on April 8, 1932, in Reedsburg, Wisconsin to William and Ethel Schultz. Bob met his soulmate Jackie (Piper) in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Their love led to their marriage on November 5, 1951. Their union was blessed with a family consisting of 3 sons and 2 daughters.
Just 2 months after their marriage, Bob was drafted into the Marine Corps during the Korean War leaving behind his new bride and soon to be first child. Jackie moved to Mason City to be with family during Bob’s enlistment. Upon Bob’s discharge he joined his wife in Mason City, which they would call home for the rest of their lives.
Bob eventually began working at Budweiser as a route salesman serving the surrounding towns over the next 4 decades. Bob retired as a route supervisor with Kabrick Distributing. All who knew him heard his gregarious jokes and countless yarns he spun. These typically ended with Bob laughing hardest of all.
Having laughs and cold ones with or without family was one of the biggest joys. So please join the family for sharing stories, memories, and laughs on Saturday, June 3, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 p.m., at the Sports Page for our final farewell.
Toasting his life that he left behind are his children, Rickey, Randy (Laurie), Raelene Evans, Roxy (Moe) Thompson and Rory (Jan); grandchildren, Heather, Derek, Tayelor, and Jake; great grandchildren, Hannah, Hudson, and William; several nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Judy Long; and brother Bill (Barb).
Awaiting in heaven to greet him is his beloved wife, Jackie; parents, brothers, Ed (Helen), George (Elaine) and Herbert Long.
