Richard "Red" Allen Marvin, 71, of Clear Lake, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Heritage Care and Rehabilitation Center. Services will be held at a later date. Memorials are asked to be directed to his family.
Richard Allen Marvin was born January 21, 1954 to Keith and Anna Mae(Milhan) Marvin of Charles City.
Richard attended the Charles City schools. In 1972 he joined the United States Marine Corp until 1975. Richard worked at IMI, Tonka Coolers, Curries, and other various jobs.
Richard married Janet Lee ( Pierce) and had one child, Sharrie Ann Marvin. Richard and Janet later divorced but has remained good friends throughout the years.
Richard enjoyed wood working, painting ceramics, interior and exterior house painting, fishing, music, being a prankster, and especially spending time with family and friends.
Richard is survived by: his daughter Sharrie Marvin, his four grandchildren, Gage Marvin , Cadence Marvin, Jaysin Marvin, and Stormee Marvin, their father John DeBates, his great granddaughter Jaryiah Johnson, his ex wife Janet Marvin. His siblings: Donny, Francis ( Cindy), Jerry, Rodney, Debra, Kevin ( Sonja), and Kelvin ( Jennifer). Richard is also survived by many neices and nephews. His three best friends Kenny Griffin, Doug Cooper, and Toni Espinosa. Their adopted family member Jetta, and his grand dog Hades. He will be deeply missed by many.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Keith and Anaa Mae Marvin and his sister Mary Lee Marvin.
