Myrtle Lamb

Myrtle O. Lamb, 96 , of Mason City, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at the Good Shepherd Health Center. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday (January 4, 2007) at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Chaplin Nick Knoth of Good Shepherd Health Center will be officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Myrtle was born December 11, 1910, in Amboy, MN, the daughter of Earl and Mae (Morgan) Miller. She attended Amboy High School in Amboy, MN. She was a member of Order of the Easter Star. She enjoyed traveling and crocheting. Survivors include two sons: Claire Ellingson of Mason City, and Merle Ellingson and wife Hazel of Clear Lake, IA; 7 grandchildren: Cindy, Teri, Jody, Scott, David, Mark, and Julie; 9 great grandchildren; two sisters: Marian Waldheim of St. James, MN and Earlene Hager and husband Kenneth of Des Moines, IA, and one sister-in-law: Janelle Fowler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leslie, a brother in infancy; a brother: Eddie Fowler, and a daughter-in-law: Marilyn Ellingson.
