Morley was born on September 13, 1939, in Mason City, to parents, Leonard and Donnabell (Niles) Lee. Morley graduated from Mason City High School in 1958.

Shortly after graduating, Morley enlisted in the United States Navy, and he served from 1959-1963. After coming back for a short time after basic training, Morley was united in marriage to Judy Gregory in 1959, and the couple were blessed with two daughters, Gina and Donna. The couple later divorced. Morley later married Sherrine Ward in 1993 in Mason City, and Sherrine brought two more daughters into the family, Davi and Trina.

Morley worked several jobs over the years, but most recently, he worked at Northwestern Cement and retired there after 27 years. In his free time, Morley loved raising and racing homing pigeons. He also enjoyed rebuilding and restoring old cars. He loved going to car shows and taking his family on fishing trips to Canada.

Morley was a lover of all animals, and when his daughters were young, they had all types of animals, including horses, cats, rabbits, geese, dogs, chickens, turkeys, and pigs.

To his family and friends, Morley will forever be remembered for his outspokenness, his loving and kind nature, and his huge heart for his animals. Known to some as a grumpy man, had a huge heart for his family and friends, but he had often shown them some “tough love” over the years. He was extremely hard-working, and opinionated, but he loved his people dearly. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him and loved him.

Morley is survived by his wife, Sherrine Lee; daughters, Gina Lee, Donna (Dan) Jimenez, Davi Shafer, and Trina (Torey) Foster; grandchildren, Sara (Ben) Schobert, Brandon (Pauline Ton) Holt, Levi Andersen, Mariah (Tony Hull) Chavez, Wesley (Mindy) Jimenez, Jay (Lindsey) Jimenez, Gabriel (Amanda) Jimenez, Andi Haag, Autumn (Dalton) Lane, Aaron (Janet) Haag, Sydnie (Braiden Rankin) Cota, Elizabeth (Ken) Bell, Jared (Rebecca) Foster, Bree (Cory) Adams; 21 great grandchildren, nephews, John Zirbel, Brad Wood, Robert Whitney, and Rick Whitney; and nieces, Kimberly Thompson, and Angela Wirth.
