Mary M. Feldhus

Mary M. Feldhus, 89 of 1037 - 19th Street SW died Thursday, October 2, 2003 at the IOOF Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, October 6, 2003 at St, James Lutheran Church, 1148 - 4th Street SE with Rev. Scott Duffus officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 - 5 PM on Sunday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue and one hour prior to service time at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to St. James Lutheran Church or Hospice of North Iowa in her memory. Mary was born August 25, 1914 in Streeter North Dakota the daugher of George and Clara (Zataloroff) Malamen. In 1916 the family moved to Dawson, North Dakota where Mary attended school. In 1934 she moved to the Minneapolis area and was married to Tony Coloff on October 25, 1936. She then moved to Mason City and was a partner in the family business. She was married to Chris Petroff on January 25, 1955 in Nashua. She was married to Edward Feldhus on May 14, 1975 here in Mason City. Mary worked as a cake decorator for Fareway Bakery for 14 years and worked as a seamstress for Kellum Drapery for 3 years retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Mary enjoyed crocheting, knitting and flower gardening. She is survived by her daughters: Mary Butler and husband Jon of Bellevue, NE Klarette Schaefer and husband Carol of Rockwell Son: Anthony Coloff and wife Susan of Forest City 9 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren Sisters: Christine Dady of Minneapolis, MN Pauline Banwart and husband Merle, Dixon, CA Celia Abraham and husband Dale, Sparks, NV Martha Borchers and husband Rollie, Hayward, CA Vera Brown and husband Richard, Anoka, MN Brother: Paul Malamen and wife Zola, Elk River, MN Sisters-in-law: Lorraine Malamen, Anoka, MN and Lucill Feldhus Mason City Special Friend - Bill Cory of Mason City She was preceded in death by her parents, Husbands, Tony Coloff, Chriss Petroff, Edward Feldhus, brother, James Malamen, infant brother, Samuel, infant sister, Celia.
