Mark E. Haaf

Mark E. Haaf, 71, of Clear Lake, Iowa passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.

Mark Edward Haaf was born in Belmond, Iowa on August 21, 1955, the son of John J. Haaf and Irma (Knoll) Haaf. He graduated Garner-Hayfield High School in 1973. Throughout his life, Mark enjoyed a wide variety of interests and hobbies. He spent time playing sports like baseball, softball, and football; he enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Mark was also skilled in carpentry, woodworking, and landscaping.

He is survived by his children, John Haaf, Cody Haaf, and Pamela Engelking; siblings, Phillip Haaf and Wanda Worley; 7 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Dawn Hunter; sisters, Juanita Nelson, Bonnie Lee, and Phyllis Kern; and his niece and godchild, Kimberly Nelson.
