Margaret Ruth Patrick

Margaret R. Patrick, 81, of Mason City, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, December 9, 2016 at St. James Lutheran Church, 1148 4th St. SE, with Pastor Jeni Bohls officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday December 8, 2016 from 5 until 7 PM at the Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave.

Margaret was born June 7, 1935 the daughter of Louis and Martha (Biesel) Hanson in Mason City, Iowa. She graduated from Mason City High School in the class of 1953. On July 23, 1953 Margaret was united in marriage to William ‘Bill’ Patrick. To this union two sons were born.

Margaret and Bill loved hunting for the perfect and ideal antiques. They were avid collectors who enjoyed searching the flea markets, garage sales and antique shops. She also collected cards, especially post cards. Margaret and Bill also enjoyed their entertainment at the casino.

Those thankful for having shared in Margaret’s life include her husband, William ‘Bill’ Patrick; sons, Gary (Darnell) Patrick, Jim Patrick; one sister, Mary Tevis; two grandchildren, Linda Patrick and Nicole Patrick.

Mrs. Patrick was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in law, Ellsworth Tevis.
