Marcia A. Harris

Marcia A. Harris, 78, of Mason City, died Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Nora Springs Care Center. No services are scheduled at this time. Per family request, her body will be cremated. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date. 

Marcia was born on April 7, 1948, in Dubuque, Iowa, to parents, Howard and Florence (Lane) Hendrickson. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1966. In April of 1967, Marcia married Melvin Harris in Mason City. They farmed in the Rockwell area for a number of years. Following the sale of their farm, they moved to Mason City.

In her free time, Marcia enjoyed antiquing, attending auctions, riding her four-wheeler, and shooting her Henry rifle. She loved spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Harley. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her and loved her. Marcia is survived by her 2 children, Jess (Lisa) Harris of Mason City and Ann (Josh) Lapp of Madrid; 5 grandchildren, Cole Harris, Harrison Lapp, Wyatt Lapp, Austin Lapp and Parker Wrasse; and her favorite companion, Harley.

Marcia was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin in 2016; brothers, Dale (Connie) Hendrickson and Tom (Mary) Hendrickson; and her parents, Howard and Florence Hendrickson.
