M. Lavonne Wheeler

January 7, 1926 — July 8, 2019

M. Lavonne Wheeler, 93, of Mason City, Iowa passed away Monday July 8, 2019 at
Heritage Care Center in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, 125 East State Street, on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Ron Stein officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family of Lavonne Wheeler.

M. Lavonne Wheeler was born on January 7, 1926 in Mason City to Everett and Clara Pearl (Cory) Wheeler. She received her education in Mason City. Later working as a Photo Finisher at Como Photo. Lavonne enjoyed singing duets with her sister Fern, solos in her church, singing in the Mason City Sweet Adelines, traveling and photography.

Lavonne is survived by her brother Norman (Connie) Wheeler, Mason City, sister Donna (Robert) Wheeler, Racine, Wisconsin, many nephews and nieces, friend Gene Holm, Mason City and Marge Wright, Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Eugene Wheeler and Fern Beaman.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Heritage Care Center and MercyOne Hospice.
