Loretta M. Martin, 81, a long-time resident of Mason City, Iowa, gained her angel wings on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Hospice of North Iowa. She was born on November 7, 1938 to her parents Leo Krambeer, Sr. and Barbara Johnson.

Loretta had been a resident of Good Shepherd Health Center for the past 2 ½ years. She had worked for Gerard School and Hickory Farms, and her last employment was at the Cerro Gordo County Court House. She loved to garden, cook and bake, read, and spend time with her family. She was passionate for many years raising money for Relay for Life, and volunteered her time at church and Meals on Wheels.

Loretta is survived by her children Catherine (Derek) Mezo of Parker, CO, Mark (Vickie) Martin of Mason City, IA, and Larry Hartema of Nashua, IA. Also, she is survived by her siblings Leo (Karen) Krambeer of Plymouth, IA, Lenora Kelly of Mesa, AZ, Janie Olson of Sioux Falls, SD, and Julie (Greg) Schlawin of Garner, IA.. She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Barbara, stepfather Kenneth Johnson, son David Hartema, and sisters Charlotte Bray, Barbara DeWall, Roberta Sheahan, and Lori Johnson. She had seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a dear friend Paula Lemke of Clear Lake, IA.

The Celebration of Life will be on June 26th, 2020 from 3-6 pm at East Park (Shelter 4) by the sledding hill in Mason City, IA. Feel free to wear blue casual attire, as blue was her favorite color.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Good Shepherd Health Center or MercyOne Hospice of North Iowa in Mason City, IA. Sympathy cards can be sent to:
