Lois Ann Gordon

Lois A. Gordon, 46, of Mason City, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026, at Heritage Care and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. Per Lois’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.

Lois Ann was born on December 2, 1979, to parents, Richard and Patty (Book) Brighton in Forest City. Lois attended Lake Mills Community Schools and later obtained her GED.

Lois was united in marriage to Dan Gordon, and to this union, they were blessed with one son, Carl. The couple later divorced. Lois was with her life partner, Gary Malone, for 19 years until his passing in 2025.

Lois was employed as a shift manager at Dollar Tree for many years, until her health declined and she was unable to work.

Lois will forever be remembered by her fiery spirit her quick wit, and her stubborn character. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her and loved her.

Lois is survived by her son, Carl Gordon; stepson, Michael (Miranda) Gordon; adopted son, Rick Lee; sister, Ann (Paul) Armstrong, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Brighton; and her parents, Richard and Patty, and her life partner of 19 years, Gary Malone.
