Kathleen Prindle, 73, of Mason City, died Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Kenneth Gehling, Chaplain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Kathleen Prindle memorial fund in care of the family.

Kathy was born June 3, 1944, in Mason City, IA, the daughter of William “Mac” and Myrtle (Ries) Moore. She attended Mason City High School. Kathy was united in marriage to Jim Prindle on February 2, 1963. She loved and respected animals and had numerous pets throughout the years. Kathy retired from Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa. She was a self-less person and would go out of her way to help others. Kathleen loved to read and travel. She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved her family dearly.

Kathy is survived by her Husband: Jim Prindle; children: Joanna (Kurt) Livingston, Robert Prindle, Lisa (Mike) Waage and Jennifer (Paul) Thompson; sister: Carlene Davis; sisters-in-law: Marlene Moore and Judy Robinson; Brother-in-law William “Bill” Ashpole Sr.; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law: Harold “Dick” and Fern Prindle; sister: Maxine Ashpole; brother: Miles Moore; brothers-in-law: Dean Davis and Dewey Robinson; son-in-law, Steve Trappe; 2 nephews.
