Joyce M. Pavek

Joyce Marie Pavek, of Mason City, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Health Center. She was 87 years old. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania, with Deacon Jim Wolf officiating. Joyce will be laid to rest at Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Joyce was born in Mason City on May 2, 1938, to Anthony J. and Avis M. (Bloom) Pavek.

She graduated from Mason City High School in 1956. She then entered St. Joseph Mercy School of Nursing and graduated from there in 1959.

She was a member of Epiphany Parish – Holy Family Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Jo Pavek. She is survived by several cousins.
