Jerry M. Jackson

Jerry M. Jackson, 74, of Mason City, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Mercyone North Iowa Medical Center. A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave with a prayer service beginning at 5:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family of Jerry Jackson. 

Jerry was born on September 14, 1949, to Merl and Margaret (Wepking) Jackson in Mason City, Iowa. On June 23, 1973, Jerry was united in marriage to Teri (Ziron) at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Mason City, Iowa. Together the couple had two sons, Jamey and Tim.

Jerry truly enjoyed having his grandchildren visit, riding 4 wheelers with them, along with adventures into the woods to pick wild berries and hunt for mushrooms. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed the great outdoors with his sons and best friend Bill Alger.

He also loved smoking meat and making apple cider from his apple orchard along with his sons and their families.

Jerry farmed and raised top quality beef cattle from 1973 until 1982. Jerry along with his wife Teri started 'Jackson Landscape' in 1987. That continues to this day.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Teri of Mason City, His son Jamey (Anne) Jackson, Chaska, MN: Tim (Amanda) Jackson, Clear Lake, Iowa: Grandchildren: Haley Jackson -Washington, Illinois, MaKenna Jackson, Clear Lake, IA - Alex and Maxwell Jackson, Chaska, MN, he is also survived by his brother, Jim Jackson - Oxford, IA. And many nieces and nephews. 

He will be sorely missed all that knew and loved him.
