MASON CITY: Grace Marie Schultz, 96, of Mason City, died Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave, with Rev. Kevin Jones, Pastor – Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Hospice of North Iowa. Grace was born December 5, 1920 in Lyle, MN to parents Fred and Frieda Hartkopp. On May 11, 1946 Grace was united in marriage to Leo Schultz in Mason City. She worked at Mercy Hospital for 7 years as a nurses aide. Grace loved to knit and crochet; so much she made afghan’s for each of her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Grace is survived by children: Marieann (Paul) Nielsen of Mason City, Leanne (Randy) Forbrook of Maple Grove, MN; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son and daughter; grandchild; 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
