Donald L. Angell

Donald L. Angell, 95, of Mason City, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the IOOF Home. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave. Interment will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rockwell, following visitation. Memorials can be directed to the family of Donald Angell. 

Donald was born March 13, 1930 in Mason City, Iowa. He lived in Mason City his whole life, and graduated through the Mason City School District. Donald then met and married Marcile Kofoot, and the couple was blessed with twins, Gary Angell and Sherry Peterson. He began work at the post office in 1950, and retired in 1986.

Donald had a story to tell for anybody that would listen. He will be especially missed by special friends, Ted and Marie Grady; daughter, Sherry Peterson; grandson, Curtis Angell; and also Sue Pedelty and Vern.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcile Kofoot, and his son, Gary Angell.
