Dolly Bryant, 88, of Mason City, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones Wednesday, October 8, 2025. A memorial service for Dolly will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave, with Pastor Jani Dahlin officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 5-7 p.m., at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family of Dolly Bryant.

Dolly Rasmuson Bryant was born October 5, 1937, In Minnesota. She was a active child growing up in Britt, Iowa, with her adoptive parents Clarence Paulson and Daisy Ellis. She loved sports, especially basketball and enjoyed in later years watching women's basketball. She was active in Girl Scouts, with Daisy as her leader, and Dolly enjoyed attending summer camp. She later attended Junior College in Mason City, Iowa where she met Dennis Bryant.
On June 9, 1957, she was united into marriage to Dennis Bryant at the Britt Lutheran Church. To this union, Dennis and Dolly were blessed with three children David, Deloris and Dale. She was also blessed with three grandchildren, Justin Barkema, Michelle and Kristin Drilen and one great granddaughter, Alessa.
After working for Belmond Printing Services, Dolly began her employment at Mason City’s Walmart when the store first opened and remained there until her retirement. Outside of her work, Dolly was an avid naturalist and enjoyed spending her time gardening amongst her flowers and bird watching. Dolly was a accomplished bowler earning many trophies. Belonging to a league and traveling to tournaments. Making many friends along the way. She also enjoyed making stained glass, having a shop set up in her basement. Dolly loved German Shepherds and had several over the years. Her current companion, Kiaha will miss her deeply. She may be the most spoiled one of them all.
Dolly is survived by her two sons, David Laird Bryant and Dale Randall Bryant; sister, Elaine; sister-in-law, Margaret; three grandchildren, Justin Barkema of Belmond, Iowa, and Kristin and Michelle Drilen of Norway; one great-granddaughter, Alessa, of Norway; several nieces and nephews, special friends, Jenni and Mike O'Donnell and family, Duaine Stone and family; and her beloved companion, Kiaha.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Bryant; daughter, Deloris (Bryant) Drilen; her parents, Clarence and Daisy; and numerous other friends and family members.
