Dean N. Winchester

Dean Neal Winchester, 56, of Mason City, IA, passed away on June 16, 2026, at Rockwell Community Nursing Home from cancer and pneumonia. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00 am at Praise Community Church, 11 2nd Street NW, Mason City, IA, with Pastor Jeff Dahlin officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the church on Saturday. Dean will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Wesley, IA. Memorials may be directed to the family of Dean Winchester.

Dean was born on April 29, 1970, in Portland, OR. He graduated from Sunset High School in Beaverton, OR. Dean held many various jobs. His hobbies included a love for cooking, reading books, and enjoying movies.

He is survived by his Mom, Rachel Jones, of Mason City, IA, brothers Chuck Winchester of Fargo, ND, and Don and Pam Winchester, Jr. of Cedar Rapids, IA, and sisters Janie Jones of Rockwell, IA, and Julie and Rory Winters of Nashua, IA, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his Dad, Don Winchester, Sr., sister Joaquin Jones, and grandparents and aunts and uncles.
