David W. Siems, 71, of Nora Springs, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Per David’s wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family of David Siems.

David Wayne Siems was born on May 18, 1954, in Hampton, Iowa, to parents Verlon and Shirley (Fronning) Siems. He graduated from High School in 1973.

On December 23, 1994, David was united in marriage to Linda M. Johnson in Hampton, Iowa. Together, they were united as a family with David's two children, Joseph and Jill.

Dave has always enjoyed operating Heavy Equipment and began a career of Driving Semi Tractor Trailers. His life career began at FFM, 15 years. He took a position with Cerro Gordo Secondary Roads as a Maintenance operator and later with Worth County 10 years. He made a commitment to his profession by purchasing a Kenworth and Pup Trailer and became an owner operator. He studied and trained for his Hazmat and purchased his 1984 Peterbilt to haul chemicals. He was leased on as an Owner Operator with LB Transport in Buffalo Center, and he then went to lease on with E&E Beshey of Garner, hauling Farm Chemicals. Dave was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

In his free time, Dave farmed for several years, raised beef cattle and enjoyed hunting. His love for winter kept him Fox and Coyote hunting along with Black Powder Season. He was a true marksman.

His favorite TV program was Gunsmoke, and he enjoyed the Teachings of Dr. David Jeremiah of Shadow Mountain Community Church. The Choir lead by Michael Sanchez kept Dave’s foot tapping to the beautiful music and contemporary Christian Music. "Amazing Grace" was his favorite hymn and " I Cross My Heart" was his favorite Country Music by George Strait.

He is probably riding "Bucky" his Buckskin Quarter Horse, checking fence lines and watching his pets to greet him and be reunited.

David is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda Siems; son, Joseph (Jessica) Siems; daughter, Jill (Anthony Sherwood) Kreimeyer; and five grandchildren, Clay and Lucas Hanig, Cole Siems, and Addison and Aubree Kreimeyer; brother, Michael (Kim) Siems of Ventura, sister, Terri (Jeff) Staley of Hampton; and his nieces and nephews. David is also survived by his beloved semi, Peterbuilt; his two Pembroke Welsh Corgis, Mollie and Maddie; and his cats, Amy, Grant and “Baby Kitty”.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Verlon and Shirley Siems; and sister, Connie Eitel.
