Carole L. Busick

Carole L. Busick, 74, of Mason City, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at First United Methodist Church, 119 South Georgia Ave. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family of Carole Busick. 

Carole Lynn Busick, the daughter of Wayne and Vivian (Harberts) Greiman, was born on March 31, 1949, in Forest City. She graduated from Garner-Hayfield High School in 1967 and continued her education at Mankato State University where she graduated with a teaching degree. On September 6, 1975, she was married to Kenneth L. Busick at the Belmond United Methodist Church. They lived all of their married life in Mason City where they raised their son, Dale. Carole worked in home health care for families in the Mason City area for many years. She also worked at   MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center gift shop for a few years.  She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, reading romance novels and in her younger years, golfing and bowling.

She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Mason City where she belonged to a church circle and served as Sunday school secretary for many years. 

Carole is survived by her husband, Ken, of Mason City; son, Dale, of Mason City; her mother, Vivian Greiman of Garner; three siblings, Connie (Mark) Hill of Clarion, Fred (Gena) Greiman of Garner and Denise (Jeff) Eilertson of Garner; Ken’s siblings, Darwin Busick, Rosetta Busick (Jim Peterson), Ramae Schuver and Douglas Busick; and many nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Greiman; two brothers, Dennis and Merlin Greiman; a nephew, Chad Hill; and a niece, Andrea Greiman Young.
