Betty Jo Louise Hubbard, 98, of Mason City, died on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at the Good Shepherd Health Center. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Betty Jo was born on August 12, 1926, in Garden City, KS to parents Joe and Sarah (Youkom) Taylor. Betty Jo attended school in Huron, SD. She then went onto NIACC. On March 11, 1957, Betty Jo was united in marriage to Harold Hubbard in Sioux Falls, SD. Betty Jo worked various job throughout her life; she was a Waitress for Eula’s Café, Labor Machine technician winding coils, nurse’s aide and she was the first messenger girl for the alcohol tax unit for the Internal Revenue Department.
Betty Jo loved doing crafts, leather work, Indian beadwork and she even taught children crafts in summer camps.
Betty Jo is survived by her daughter Barbara (Paul); grandchildren, Jeseriah, Bobbi-Jo, and Donna, as well as numerous great grandchildren and one great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, son Bruce, daughters Bonnie and Beverly, grandsons Tom and Tim.
