Alberta M. Loveless

Alberta Mae Loveless, 87, of Mason City passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at the Good Shepherd Health Center surrounded by family.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 10 a.m., at First Covenant Church, 411 S Ohio Ave, with Rev. Greg Reiner officiating.

Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania.

Services will be livestreamed on Major Erickson’s Facebook Page.

Memorials may be directed to the family of Alberta Loveless, the family plans on making donations to First Covenant Church and the American Cancer Society in her name.

Alberta Mae Loveless was born on August 16, 1936, to parents Charles and Evelyn (Larsen) Krutsinger in Hampton, Iowa. Alberta graduated from Mason City High School in 1954. She was employed at Mason City Community School District as a secretary for 32 years and retired in June 1998.

Alberta was an active member of First Covenant Church in Mason City, and often volunteered at Mercy Hospital. She was a member of the Iowa Association of Educational Office Personnel. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, bowling, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her family and friends. Alberta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by those who knew her and loved her.

Alberta is survived by her son, Greg (Gale) Loveless; granddaughter, Emily (Tanner) Thiesse; brothers, Richard (Shirley) Krutsinger and Gail Krutsinger; stepsister, Julie (Al) Goodling; and her dear friends, Carleen Davis, Pat Schultz, and Elaine Merrill.

Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Krutsinger, and Roy and Evelyn Rensink; brothers, Ronald Krutsinger, and Donald Krutsinger; sister-in-law, Harriet Krutsinger; and stepsister, Mary Rensink.
