Zachary Marzen

January 5, 1988 — May 17, 2008

Webster City:  Zachary Marzen, 20, of Webster City, formerly of Mason City, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at his home in Webster City. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 22, 2008 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 329 E. State Street with Rev. Sid Bohls officiating.  A visitation  will be from 5PM 7PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Zachary Marzen memorial fund in C/O Mindy Westendorf, 403 Prospect Street, Webster City, IA 50595.
 
Zachary was born January 5, 1988 in Mason City, the son of Wade Marzen and Mindy Westerdorf.   He attended Mason City High School.  He enjoyed music, skateboarding, races and playing play station.  He also enjoyed spending time with his uncle Dennis, his fiancé Candace and his children Zachariah and Tyller.  Zachary was very kind hearted and will be missed by all. 
 
He is survived by his mother:  Mindy Westendorf and special friend Charles Freerksen of Webster City; his father:  Wade Marzen and special friend Dawn Lunn of Buffalo Center; step father:  Brad Latch; two sons:  Zachariah and Tyller Marzen; his fiancée:  Candace Scott of Webster City; his grandparents:  Mary Adams and special friend Don Hutzell of Marble Rock, IA, Dale and Jean Westendorf of Marble Rock, Mike and Elaine Marzen of Marble Rock; great grandparents:  Richard and Bonna Matson of Mason City and Inez Marzen of Greene, IA;  great great grandmother:  Mildred (Toots) Matson; his uncle:  Dennis Westendorf and his wife Jeanette of Mason City; his aunt:  Carrie Kornegor and her husband Aaron of St. Charles, MN;  his ½ brother:  Joseph Smart of Texas.  He is also survived by several great uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. 
 
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Paul Adams, Pat and Marie Hasty, Lawrence and Evelyn Merriss and John Edwin Marzen.
