Memorial services for Virginia have been rescheduled for a later date.

Virginia M. Nuehring, 89, of Mason City, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

Memorial services scheduled for 10 AM Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the St. James Lutheran Church, have been cancelled due to the weather and will be rescheduled for a later date.. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Virginia was born July 5, 1928 the daughter of Harold and Hazel (McCoy) Bradbury in Schaller, Iowa. At the age of 2 she moved with her family to Mason City where she later graduated from Mason City High School in 1947. On June 1, 1947 Virginia was united in marriage to Orvall R. Nuehring. To this union three sons were born. The couple farmed around the Mason City and Clear Lake areas for 28 years.

Virginia worked at the Clear Lake Bakery for 20 years decorating cakes. Following the closing of the bakery she went to work at HyVee West in the bakery department creating her masterpieces. Over the years she was also employed at Woolworths and the Mason City Drive-In Theatre.

Those thankful for having shared in Virginia’s life include her sons, Mike (Barb) Nuehring, Donald Nuehring; grandchildren, Amanda (Andrew) Pappas, Whitney Nuehring, Matthew Nuehring; step grandsons, Joe Barr, Jesse Germanson; great grandchildren, Mia and Kellan Pappas and step great grandchildren, Daniel and Jacob; sister in law, Marilyn Nuehring; brothers in law, Robert Nuehring and Richard Fairbanks; and many nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orvall; son, Kenneth; sister, Beverly Bradbury Kerlin; brothers, Sam, Wayne, Merle and Don Bradbury.
