MASON CITY: Terry Lee Buss, 68, of Mason City, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Major Erikson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Pastor Jeni Bohls, St. James Lutheran Church, officiating. The family will greet friends one hour before services at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted by the Mason City Veterans Association. In lieu of flowers or memorials, please give to the Wounded Warrior Project or Marine Corps Toys for Tots. Terry was born January 15, 1945 in Mason City the son of Ernest Lowell and Dorothy (Willford) Buss. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1963. Terry enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1965 and served 20 years with two tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, coin and stamp collecting, needlepoint, side seat driving, and Lego constructions. Terry is survived by his wife, Betty of Mason City; sons, Jeffrey of St. Joseph, Michigan, and Jason of Mason City; sister, Cheryl (Gentry) Galbreath of Mason City; brother, Lowell (Diane) Buss of Victoria, Minnesota; and grand-dog-ter, Inara. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and twin brother, Garry.
