Ruth C. (Ross) Miller

Mason City Ruth C. (Ross) Miller, 93, of Mason City, died Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Heritage Care Center. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 3, 2010, at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 302 5th St. S.E. with Rev. Craig E. Steimel officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Ruth C. Miller memorial fund, 539 20th St. S.E., Mason City, IA in care of the family. Ruth was born April 5, 1917 in Mason City, Iowa the daughter of William Earl and Myrtle (Tuthill) Gardinier. She attended school in Mason City. She was married to Earl Ross in 1940 until his death in 1974, she then married Charlie Miller on October 27, 1979 until his death in 1991. Ruth enjoyed reading and also sewing for her family. She loved spending time with her friends and family and was especially fond of her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church. Ruth will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Darlene McMurray and husband Dennis of Mason City and Toni Sage of Mason City; six grandchildren, Julie (Mark) Edwards, Brenda Todd, Kerri Sage (Stephen Shelton), Nathan Sage, Allison Sage, Joseph Sage; six great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren; and one sister and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Earl Ross; second husband, Charlie Miller; two brothers and four sisters.

Memorials may be directed to the Ruth C. Miller memorial fund, 539 20th St. S.E., Mason City, IA in care of the family.

Cemetery:
Interment will be held in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.
