Ronald 'Ron' W. Warner

Ronald 'Ron' W. Warner, 62, of West Point, AR, died Sunday, December 4, 2011, at the Little Rock VA Hospital, AR. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011, Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams., with Msgr. Joseph Slepicka officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors by the Mason City Veterans Memorial Association. Ronald was born June 26, 1949, to Bobby and Romona (Cunningham) Warner in Mason City, IA. He lived in Mason City until moving with his family to North Dakota in 1961. Later his parents moved to the twin cities and he graduated in 1967 from Highland Park High School, St. Paul, MN; then he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After being discharged he re-enlisted in the military service where he became disabled and was a patient at the V.A Hospital, at Knoxville, IA for many years. Later he moved to Arkansas to be nearer his family. Ron was the first born in a family of 5 children. Survivors include 2 sisters, Barbara Dahm, Inver Grove, MN and Diana Qualls of Harrison, AR, 1 brother Roger Warner, Duncan Heights, Garner, IA, an uncle, John Cunningham, a niece and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Romona 1983 and Bobby 1988, a sister Deborah Underdown, 2009, brother-in-law David Underdown, 2011; grandparents, Ida and Arthur Warner & Margaret and John Cunningham.
