Roberta E. Wharam

Roberta E. Wharam, 90, of Indianapolis passed to her heavenly home, Friday, October 2, 2015 at Community Heart & Vascular Hospital, Indianapolis. Her homecoming was both sudden and peaceful. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Mason City, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rockwell Cemetery, Rockwell, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideon’s International.

Roberta was born March 9, 1925 in Belle Plaine, Iowa the daughter of Lyle and Violetta (Adams) Huff. Roberta married Jack M. Wharam June 21, 1942 in Rockwell. She resided in Iowa until 1959, moving to Devils Lake, North Dakota where she resided until 1990. Indiana had been her home since that time.

Roberta is survived by her children, Trudy (Dayton) Molendorp of Indianapolis, Indiana, Glen (Vernie) Wharam of Park River North Dakota, Terry (Keith) Rae of Laurel, Montana and Tracy (Bob) Blazek of Crookston, Minnesota; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Reva (Chet) Fredin; 3 sisters-in-law, Ellen (Burt) Nelson, Audrey Huff and Helen Huff.

Roberta was preceded in death by Jack, her beloved husband of nearly 66 years and brothers Dean and Duane Huff.
