Robert E. Redick Jr. 55, of 915 N. Monroe, died Tuesday (February 15, 2005) at home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Church of Christ, 710 N. Kentucky Avenue with Rev. Alan Sheldon officiating. Additional services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday (February 26, 2005) at Prairie Center Church of God, 105 S. Montclaire Drive, Olathe, Kansas 66061. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue one hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Robert E. Redick Jr. Memorial Fund. Bob was born January 27, 1950 in Ottawa, Kansas the son of Robert and Betty (Ball) Redick. He graduated from De Soto High School in 1968 then attended Pittsburg State University for 2 years. Bob worked for Lone Star Cement Company in Bonner Springs, Kansas for 18 years. He married Nancy Rentko November 17, 1976. They later divorced. Bob moved to Mason City in 1990 and went to work for Lehigh Cement Company. He married Lori Hennick July 10, 2004 in the Little Brown Church, Nashua. Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shrine. He enjoyed playing baseball, softball, gardening and watching 3 of his children participate in the Special Olympics. Bob is survived by his wife, Lori of Mason City; children, Bobby Redick of Olathe, KS, Chris Redick and wife Erica of Lenexa, KS, Matthew Redick of Olathe, KS, Lauren Redick of Olathe, KS; step-children, Kevin Hennick of Mason City, Mick Hennick of Mason City, Jamie Hennick of Floyd; mother, Betty Keller of Ottawa, KS; father, Robert Redick and wife Bonnie of De Soto, KS; mother and father-in-law, Merlwin and Violet Linder of Nashua; sisters, Sue Farrell and husband Doug of Ottawa, KS, Cheryl Redick of Ottawa, KS; step-sisters, Linda Horne of Pomona, KS, Patty Winters of Ottawa, KS, Teresa Brown of Ottawa, KS; best friend, Richard Donbert Jr. of Plymouth; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bob?s grandparents, brother Johnnie and step-father Loren Keller preceded him in death.
