Ralph R. Wallace, 75, of 236 13th St. SE, died Sunday (April 20 2003) at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at St. James Lutheran Church, 1148 4th St. SE, with Rev. Scott Duffus officiating. Interment will be 1:00 PM Thursday in Springfield City Cemetery, Springfield, Minnesota with Rev. Dave Putz, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Springfield officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, and continue one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the Ralph R. Wallace Memorial Fund. Ralph was born December 31, 1927 in Mason City the son of Vaughn Clifford and Mae Condoce (Freed) Wallace. He graduated from Mason City High School and served in the US Army from May, 1946 receiving his honorable discharge in November, 1947. He married Marilyn Jenzen December 15, 1962 in Mason City. Ralph was employed at Dick?s Bowling Center and the Rose Bowl for many years. Following retirement, he worked as an attendant for the predecessor banks to Bank of America and Wells Fargo. Ralph was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, participated in bowling leagues and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife; Marilyn of Mason City, Brother; Jack Wallace and wife Dorothy of Winter Park, FL, Brother-in-law; James Jenzen of wife Linda of Springfield, MN, Sister-in-laws; Arlene Fedell and husband Jack of Crystal Lake, IL, Lorraine Crannage of Belleville, IL, many special nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents.
