Priscilla May Overturf, 88, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at the Provena-St. Joseph Care Center in Freeport, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 7, 2005 at the First Baptist Church, 125 East State Street with Rev. Ron Stein officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood ? St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service time at the church on Monday. A memorial fund has been established for the First Baptist Church. Priscilla was born March 7, 1916 in Mason City, IA, to Arthur Rowe, Sr and Alvina Jaacks Rowe. On July 26, 1941, she married Virgil Overturf in Mason City, IA. She became a member of the First Baptist Church there, and remained a member until her death. She enjoyed being with her grandsons, bird-watching, handiwork and crafts. Surviving is her son, Darrell (Marianne) of Freeport, IL, three grandsons, Christopher (Holly) of Cedar Falls, IA, Michael (Patricia) of Aurora, IL, and Jonathon of Freeport, IL, two great-grandchildren, Macey and Noah, and one sister, Marcielle (Robert) of Northwood, IA and three nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil, two brothers, Arthur Jr. and Chester, and one sister, Doloris (Bonnie).
