Phyllis N. Miller, 85, of Mason City, IA, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Country Meadow Place.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 2502 S. Jefferson Avenue, with Pastor Matthew Muters officiating.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, August 10, 2018, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue one hour prior to the church service.

Interment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family of Phyllis Miller.

Phyllis was born August 25, 1932, in Garner, IA, the daughter of Lester and Gladys (Lawhorn) Paulson. She attended school in Garner and Mason City. On August 28, 1948, she married Kenneth L. Lundquist in Albert Lea, MN. She later married Charles Miller in Mason City in 1993. Phyllis cleaned residential homes for 20 years and worked at McDonalds until her retirement. Phyllis had a great love for family and friends. In her younger years, she enjoyed boating, roller skating, dancing and camping. She also enjoyed crafts, needle point, making cards, cross stitch and playing cards. She was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church where she belonged to Prayer Shawl Group. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter: Shelly Syverson and husband Darryl of Strawberry Point, IA; daughter-in-law: Dixie Lundquist of Mason City; 5 grandchildren: Brad Syverson, Travis Syverson, Jason Lundquist and wife Anne, Julie Schmidt and husband Johnny, and Sheri Harriman and husband Brant; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers: Gary Malone of Mason City and Randy Malone of Hawaii. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Gladys Hovel; step-fathers: Roy Malone and Ben Hovel; step-mother: Beatrice Paulson; her first husband in 1989; her 2nd husband in 2014; son: Rick Lundquist; step-daughter: Jackie Haag; 3 sisters: Valerie Thornton, Shelba Harris and Cindy Malone; mother-in-law; father-in-law; brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
