Phyllis Ann Card, 66 of Plymouth and formerly of Waterloo, died, Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to services at the Mausoleum Chapel with a memorial service held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, August 30, 2004 at the Garden of Memories Mausoleum Chapel, 3669 Logan Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa. Inurnment will follow the service in Garden of Memories Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family. Phyllis Ann Hartson was born March 4, 1938 the daughter of Milton and Lorraine (Kist) Hartson in Fredericksburg, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Virgil ?Sonny? W. Card Jr. on June 16, 1956 in Preston, Minnesota. Phyllis was a machinist for Chamberlain?s Manufacturing Company for twenty-seven years retiring in 1990. She lived in the Waterloo area for 55 years and the Mason City area for 11 years. Phyllis?s passion was her cooking, she also loved to garden, can, fish and camp. She is survived by her son David W. Card and wife Deitz of Webster City; daughter, Cheryl W. Andersen and husband Dave of Plymouth; son, Randy A. Card and wife Sue of Waterloo; daughter, Shelly L. Donbert and husband Rick of Plymouth; sister, LaVonne Franke and husband Don of Elk Run Heights; brother, Duane Hartson and wife Gladys of Waterloo; sister, Sharon Slater and husband Dewey of Toldeo, Ohio; brother, Eugene Hartson and wife Nancy of Waterloo; sister, Carol Mack and husband Jerry of Burnsville, Minnesota; brothers-in-law, Benny Halverson of New Hampton and Melvin ?Bud? Wilson of Evansdale, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Lorraine Hartson, two sisters, Janice Halverson and Lois Wilson, husband, Virgil ?Sonny? Card, and a great grandchild, Dakota Card.
