Peggy June (Severs) Fick, age 83, of 620 N. Jackson, Mason City, died Sunday, November 7, 2010, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, November 16, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave, Mason City. Graveside inurnment will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 17, at Memorial Park Cemetery with good friend, Peg Davis, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Peggy Fick Memorial Fund. Peggy was born June 27, 1927, in Mason City, the daughter of Gus and Coral (Lester) Severs. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1945. She was married to Clyde (Bob) Fick on October 4, 1946. They were blessed with a son, Randy, on September 1, 1947. Her family was always the joy of her life. Peggy started antiquing with her mother and sister and later ran several antique stores with her son. Peggy loved animals and, throughout her life, she gave a home to many abandoned pets. Left to cherish her memory are two grandchildren: Michael Fick and sons Thomas & Joshua Fick of Northwood; and Kristy (Kevin) Brass and children Ethan Meiburg, Dalton and Mackenzie Brass of Apple Valley, MN, daughter-in-law Karen Fick of Clear Lake, nephew Terry (Linda) Turnure of Mason City and their children, niece Debbie (Turnure) Smith and her children, aunts Catherine Schreckengost of Mason City and Hannah Lamb of Des Moines, cousins Arlene Van Horn, Sally Bonjour, Betty Mclaughlin, John Lamb and Gerald Lamb. Peggy wanted to express thanks to several very special people in her life: to Dr Stephen Septer for his kindness and care through the years; to Janet Marvin home aid who always did so much more than was expected and who became a close friend; to Larry and Peggy Davis for all their kindness , assistance and friendship. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Gus & Coral Severs, husband Clyde, son Randy, sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Clarence Turnure, aunt and uncle Albert and Berniece Lester, uncles Jet Lamb and Howard Schreckengost.

Memorials:
