Nancy Lee Lorentzen, 56 of Rockwell died Saturday, October 9, 2004 at St. Mary?s Hospital in Rochester. Minnesota after a strongly fought battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 502 South Second Street in Rockwell with Pastor Ron Bolinger officiating. Interment will be in the Rockwell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. ? 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue in Mason City. Memorials may be directed to the Nancy Lorentzen Memorial Fund. Nancy was born on March 17, 1948 the daughter of John and Margaret (Jiminez) Levenhagen in Mason City. She was the oldest of five children. Nancy attended school in Rockwell-Swaledale and graduated in the class of 1966. She was active as a cheerleader and in various clubs. Following her graduation Nancy was united in marriage to Jerry Lorentzen on March 25, 1967. They had two children, Mike and Matthew. Nancy sold Home Interiors for five years and studied at N.I.A.C.C., receiving her B.A. in business. Nancy worked at I.M.I. Cornelius from 1978 until her illness. She was a little thing that had a lot of spirit. Her loves were her crafts and going to craft shows. Nancy loved to dress and decorate for the holidays and enjoyed her yard and flowers. Nancy was a cheerleader at work and enjoyed making treats for her co-workers. She loved her convertible and summer road trips with loud music, eating at new places and gambling. She loved her family so very much. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Jerry of Rockwell; son Mike and wife Karrie of Mason City; four grandchildren, Jordan, Devin, Joshua and Ashley; her parents, John and Margaret Levenhagen of Rockwell; brother, Bill Levenhagen and wife Nancy of Rockwell; sister, Barb Jones and husband Fred of Mason City; sister, Deb Behr and husband Lee of Rockwell; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Carol Lorentzen of Mason City; many nieces and nephews and especially a true friend Sandy and a special friend, Mona. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew, brother Gary, grandparents, Otto and Hanna Levenhagen, John Jimenez, in-laws, LeRoy and Flossie Lorentzen, two uncles, Al and Jim Levenhagen.
