Mindy S. Westendorf, 38, of Mason City, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Mercy Medical Center North Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Sid Bohls of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. A visitation will be from 5PM 7PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mindy S. Westendorf memorial fund in care of the family, 1021 3rd St. N.E., Mason City, IA 50401. Mindy Sue Westendorf was born September 22, 1972 in Mason City, the daughter of Dale Westendorf and Mary Adams. She attended schools in Mason City and Marble Rock. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, and local racing, bowling and most of all spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her special friend; Charles Freerksen; grandchildren, Zachariah and Tyller Marzen; her parents, Mary Adams and special friend Don Hutzell of Marble Rock, IA, Dale and Jean Westendorf of Marble Rock; brother, Dennis Westendorf and his wife Jeanette of Mason City; grandparents, Richard Dick and wife Bonna Matson of Mason City; niece and nephew, Halie and Nick Westendorf; and also numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Zachary Marzen in 2008 and grandparents: Paul Adams, Marie Hasty; step-grandfather, Pat Hasty and uncle, Marvin Adams.

Memorials:
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mindy S. Westendorf memorial fund in care of the family, 1021 3rd St. N.E., Mason City, IA 50401.

Cemetery:
Interment will be in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation:
