Milda V. Heyden Willis

Milda V. Heyden Willis, 88, of Mason City, died Friday, April 10, 2009, Good Friday, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 428 West Walnut Street, Manly with Pastor Linda Johnson Prestholt officiating. Interment will be in the Manly Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Monday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Mason City and continue at the church one hour before the service. Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Milda was born November 25, 1920 to Fred and Selma (Lenth) Seidel in Monona, Iowa. She married Arnold Heyden November 25, 1944. They lived in Northeast Iowa before moving to Plymouth in 1955. They had 10 children. Following Arnolds death in 1977, Milda worked for Mode O Day in Mason City. She married Delbert Wayne Willis July 2, 1982. Milda was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Milda his survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Myrna of Blair, Nebraska, Ken and Diana of Vernon, Connecticut, David and Lori of Hampton, Iowa, Paul and Linda of Plymouth, Iowa; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and David Huebner of Manhattan, Kansas, Joyce and Ken Kleven of Rockford, Iowa, Marilyn and August Engels of Rockford, Iowa, Myrna and Jeffrey Burger of Mason City, Gloria and Greg Friedrich of Urbandale, Iowa and Grace and Brian Condon of Urbandale, Iowa; 25 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brother, Harold Seidel and wife Wilma of Saratoga, Iowa; a niece and nephews.

Milda was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Arnold and Wayne; a sister and brother and a niece.
