Mary Elizabeth Weitzel, 93, of Osage formerly of Mason City, died Sunday, December 18, 2005 at the Faith Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 419 North Delaware with Rev. Mark Lavrenz officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue and continue one hour before services Friday at the church. Memorials may be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Mary was born June 26, 1912 in Logan County, Illinois the daughter of Rilley and Effie (Harris) Waller. The family moved to Mason City when Mary was a small child. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1930. Mary married Adam Weitzel January 18, 1931 in Mason City. She was a life long resident of Mason City and spent several winters in Harlingen, Texas. Mary moved to Osage in March of 1995. Mary is survived by 1 daughter, Mary Ann Stricker and husband Harold of Orchard; grandson, Kent Stricker and wife Candy and their daughter, Mandy of Osage, grandson, Mike Stricker and wife Marsha and their children, Jerad and Shannon of Orchard; sister, Ruth Snyder of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; brother, Frank Waller of Mason City. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Adam; sisters, Gladys and Mildred; brothers, Ray and Marvin.
