Marjorie A. 'Marg' Voet

Marjorie A. Marg Voet, 77, of Mason City died Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 N. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Steve Palo officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM Friday till time of service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the Marjorie Voet Memorial Fund. Marg was born February 9, 1931 in Northwood, Iowa the daughter of Louie and Gladys (Berg) Rasmussen. She graduated from Kensett High School. Marg married Francis Frank Voet November 27, 1951 in Kensett. Marg was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who valued her family. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Some of her hobbies included reading and quilting.

Marg is survived by her husband, Francis Frank Voet of Mason City; children, Linda (Fred) Nolte of Mason City, Gary Voet of Clear Lake, and Nancy (Klay) DeVries of Shoreview, Minnesota; grandchildren, Kevin (Ann Marie) Nolte, Curt Nolte, Michael (Marie) Voet, Lauren (Tom) Hertel and Carly DeVries; great grandchildren, Brooke and Morgan Banken, Avery Nolte; brothers, Marlyn (Joan) Rasmussen of Thompson and Dale (Janice) Rasmussen of Mason City; sister-in-law, Bert Neeley of St. Ansgar; several nieces and nephews.

Marg was preceded in death by her parents.
