Marion E. Engels

Mason City Marion Engels, 79, of Mason City, died Friday, October 23, 2009, at her home. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.



Marion was born July 25, 1930, in LaCrosse, WI, the daughter of Rudolph and Arline (Hanson) Graff. She graduated from Logan High School in 1948. She enjoyed arts and crafts, going to the casino, and people watching. She was a huge Green Bay Packers Fan and loved her family immensely. Marion cherished her friends and family. She was a great mother and grandmother She was also a firm believer in the American Cancer Society.



Marion is survived by her children: Sherry Tomas of Slidell, LA, Susie Rutledge of Slidell, LA, Steve Rutledge of Mesa, AZ; one brother: David Graff, of Mason City; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her father: Rudolph in 1970; her mother: Arline in 1985; her sisters: Phyllis in 1982, and Delores in 2007; her daughter: Diana in 2009.
