Mason City, Iowa Marilyn J. Anderson, 73, of Mason City, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Memorial services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, June 7, 2010 at Our Saviours Lutheran Church, 2502 South Jefferson Ave. with the Rev. Emily Horrell officiating. Upon her wishes she was cremated and there will be no visitation. Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of North Iowa or the Marilyn J. Anderson memorial fund in care of the family. Marilyn was born June 3, 1937 in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of Melvin (Ruth) Roberts Frelund. She was a graduate of Mason City High School. She was a bus-aide for Headstart for many years, a nurses aide and her last job was at Midwest Janitorial. Marilyn enjoyed her grandchildren, talking on the phone with family and friends, going to Farmers Markets, going out to eat at Bonanza and loved watching the city counsel meetings. She was married to Ken Anderson and then later divorced. She is survived by her children, Steve of Mason City and his children, Tonya Anderson of Yelm, WA, and Brandon Anderson of Mason City, Sandi (Greg) Roggeman of Mason City and their children, Josh and special friend Jamie Schultz of West Des Moines and Jordan at home, Ken (Karen) of Clear Lake and their children, Kaleb, Karter, and Katelyn, Dean (Kris) of Mason City and their children, Tori, Jami, and Ms. Abbi; sister, Judy (John) Clarke of Mason City; brother, Bill (Renee) Frelund of Mason City, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Kendra (Kiki).

Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of North Iowa or the Marilyn J. Anderson memorial fund in care of the family

Cemetery:
Inurnment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery

Visitation:
Upon her wishes she was cremated and there will be no visitation.
