Marie P. Dillabough, 86, of 389 Willowbrook Drive, died Thursday (October 16, 2003) at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 213 S. Pennsylvania Avenue with Rev. Kenneth Hatland officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, and will continue one hour before services at the church Monday. Memorials may be given to Hospice of North Iowa. Marie was born May 10, 1917 in Mason City the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Heiner) Palenyk. She married Harris Dillabough September 21, 1940 in Mason City. Marie was a life-long resident of Mason City. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, enjoyed gardening, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marie is survived by her husband of 63 years: Harris Dillabough of Mason City, daughter: DeAnne Gillard and husband John of Mason City, grandchildren: Doug Gillard of Mason City and Heather Tarr of Mason City, great grandchildren: Alexis and Dakota, sisters-in-law: Genevieve Palenyk of Mason City, Helen Palenyk of Mason City, Phyllis Waldron of Austin, MN, several nieces. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Gertie, Idell and Tillie, brothers: Bill, Frank, Oscar ?Ozzie? and Leopold.
