Mason City - Mason City - Marie B. Dwan, 88, resident of Mason City since 1941, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at her home. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, (February 21, 2012) at Elmwood-St. Joseph’s Cemetery with the Rev. Kathy Graves of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Upon her wishes she was cremated, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army or to the Harvest Food Bank in Marie’s name. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.majorericksonfuneralhome.com Marie was born December 3, 1923 in Fenton, Iowa, the daughter of Herman and Katie (Eimers) Struecker. She graduated in 1941 from Fenton High School, Fenton, IA. In 1942 she graduated from Hamilton Business College, Mason City, IA. She was a bookkeeper in various offices in Mason City from 1942-1966. In 1966 she worked for Title Atlas Company in Minneapolis, MN until she retired in 1984. On March 23, 1973 she married George H. Dwan at the First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD, George passed away February 9, 1988. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She is survived by her sister, Lucille Nelson of Ringsted, IA; brothers, John Struecker of Clinton, MO and Victor (Marian) Struecker of Fenton, IA; brother-in-law, Harold Nielsen of Mankato, MN; and many nieces and nephews and special friends, Richard and Margaret Fisher of Mason City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and four sisters.

Elmwood-St. Joseph’s Cemetery

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army or to the Harvest Food Bank in Marie’s name.

Visitation:
Upon her wishes she was cremated, there will be no vistitation.

Service:
