MASON CITY Margaret C. Djuren, 96, of Mason City, died Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Heritage Care and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held 10:30 on Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Avenue, with Rev. Keith Scott officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Wesley United Methodist Church or the Margaret C. Djuren Memorial Fund, in care of the family.
Margaret was born November 29, 1914, the daughter of Chester and Alice (Harris) Hill. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1932. She was united in marriage to Harm A. Djuren on September 27, 1936, in Charles City, Iowa, and to this union came three children: Janice, Beverly and Gordon. Margaret was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Church Circle Wesley Golden Age. When she wasnt being a farmers wife, she was busy working at the Dime Store in Clear Lake or cooking in Hanlontown, Joyce and Manly. She loved to dance and bowl, and will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her.
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Janice (Milton) Kuhlers of Stewart, FL, Beverly (Eldon) Olesen of Charles City; son, Gordon Djuren of Mason City; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and another on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Roger Hill, and an infant brother.

Memorials may be directed to Wesley United Methodist Church or the Margaret C. Djuren Memorial Fund, in care of the family.

Cemetery:
Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation:
Visitation will be held from 5:00 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011, at the funeral home.
