MASON CITY: Margaret Ann Jackson, 85 of Mason City died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 10, 2014 at Clear Lake Evangelical Free Church 1310 U.S. 18, Clear Lake, IA. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 9, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Avenue. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Margaret Jackson memorial fund in care of the family. Margaret Ann Jackson was born June 8, 1929 in Mason City to H. Emerson and Cora (Klein) Wepking. She grew up in rural Mason City, and attended school in Hanlontown, IA. She graduated from the Nursing Program at Northern Iowa Area Community College in Mason City, where she also taught nursing part-time for two years. Margaret Ann worked as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Medical Center in Mason City until her retirement after 20 years. She also served on the board for the Kinney Pioneer Museum and was a member of the InterCreek Club. Margaret Ann enjoyed gardening, traveling, antiquing, and golfing. She so loved and enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her 3 kitties. She is survived by her sons: Jerry (Teri) Jackson of Mason City and Jim (Tanya) Jackson of Oxford, IA; grandchildren: Jamey (Anne) Jackson, Chaska, MN; Tim (Amanda) Jackson, Clear Lake, IA; Brent (Karen) Jackson, Des Moines, IA; Eric (Chris) Jackson, Garner, IA; Jason (Sarah) Jackson, Tulsa, OK; Scott Jackson, Forest City, IA; 11 great grandchildren; and very dear cousins, Lloyd and Janet Klein. Tom’s daughter, Lori (Steven) Anderson, Mesa, AZ; Tom’s granddaughters: Ashley Anderson, Burbank, CA; Megan and Stefani Anderson, Mesa, AZ. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother; husband Merl Jackson, and loving companion of almost 30 years, Tom McCourt.
