Marcey was born August 12, 1957 in Mason City the daughter of Edward and Hazel (Supalla) Chuck. Marcey was a special gift. While some might see Downs Syndrome as a ?mistake? on God?s part, we know that God doesn?t make mistakes. He knew that Marcey would enrich our lives and those of our friends. She has helped us all understand that limitations are too frequently placed by us on those different from us. By greeting others with acceptance, love, and reasonable expectations, we can maximize the potential available in each of us. Marcey moved to Opportunity Village in Clear Lake while in her early 20?s. Here she made many friends among the residents and staff. The village provided her with independence by letting her move away from home, just like her big sisters. She was challenged with appropriate work and educational opportunities. Social activities like the village walks, dances and shopping were eagerly awaited. Those left to cherish her memory include her parents; Ed and Hazel Chuck of Mason City, Sisters; Cherrelyn Chuck Casey of Longmont, Colorado, Gwendolyn Chuck Williams of Des Moines, their partners; Robert Williams and Gary Rehder, Nephews; Capt. Michael Casey (USAF), Brian Williams and Bradley Williams. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love and support.
