Lucille Pauline Braun, 94, of Mason City, IA, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the Heritage Care and Rehab Center. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City, with Rev. Steve Hansen of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Per her wishes, her body was cremated and there will be no visitation. Lucille liked things simple; therefor the family requests casual attire. “Come as you are”. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lucille Braun memorial fund in care of the family. Lucille was born March 2, 1920, in Bode, IA, the daughter of Peter Petersen Halsrud and Anna Safie Anderson. She was the 6th child of 9 born to her parents. On September 25, 1937, she married Robert Henry Braun in Rockwell City, IA. In 1954, Lucille moved to Mason City. Lucille enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending the winter months in Donna, TX for over 20 years. Lucille was a wonderful homemaker and a great cook. She loved her flowers, tending to her garden and spending time outdoors. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Duane Robert Braun and wife June of Florence, OR, Sharon Kay Belseth of Mason City and Judith “Judy” Ann Borger and husband John of Mason City; grandchildren: Dale and Clive Braun of Beaverton, OR; Darren Braun of Milwaukie, OR, Kelly-Louise Kloepfer of Orem, UT, Jerel Braun of Bloomington, IL, Timothy Belseth of Mason City, Robert Borger of Vine Grove , KY, Steven Borger of Westerville, OH, and Matthew Borger of Iowa City, IA; and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years died December 1, 1996; son-in-law: Eugene Belseth; her siblings: “first born” sister in infancy, Esther, Walter, Virgie, Delpha, Russel, Philip and Keith.

Visitation:
Per her wishes, her body was cremated and there will be no visitation.
